Happy International Women’s day.
Society has these defined roles for women as being only caregivers, wives, mothers, and nothing else.
A woman’s self-esteem, ambition, and expectations are the primary victims of “gender-stereotypes” in society.
Many young girls and women fall victim to these traditional roles and as a result, never realize their full potential.
Therefore, as women, we need to take a stand to eradicate these cliches and their associated behaviours.
To all women, never stop demanding your rights. For it easy to challenge stereotypes but it doesn’t change if we don’t start changing ourselves first.
We need women at all levels, to change the dynamic, reshape the conversation, to make sure women’s voices are heard and heeded, not overlooked and ignored.
